How It Works
TubeVoice reads YouTube comments aloud using your browser's built-in Web Speech API. All processing happens
entirely on your device:
- Comments are read from the YouTube page you're viewing
- Text-to-speech conversion happens in your browser
- No data is sent to external servers
- No account or login required
Permissions Explained
TubeVoice requests the following permissions:
- YouTube access: To read comments from YouTube video pages
- Active tab: To detect when you're on a YouTube video
- Scripting: To display the floating button and voice panel
Third-Party Services
TubeVoice does not use any third-party services, APIs, or analytics. The extension operates completely
offline after installation.
